We’re so excited to see you!

But before that, here’s all the information you might need.

Wait, how many days does the wedding last?

If you know us, you know we love to celebrate just about anything. So when it came time to plan our wedding, we knew we wanted to go big.

Why just have a wedding day when you can have a wedding weekend?

From Friday afternoon until late Sunday morning, it’s party time. We’re gathering with a purpose, in this specific location and in this venue with you in mind! We will share more details in January but for now just know—we are so excited to spend quality time with you all, and to have the people who have supported us for the past 7 years all spend a weekend together.

We’ve tried to think of all your questions and provide you with answers on this page, but if anything’s still unclear—please reach out!

The Location

The Camp at Carmel Valley

33200 E Carmel Valley Road,
Carmel Valley, CA 93924

  • You have a few options when it comes to which airport to fly into, if you’re traveling from a distant land… like Florida or Missouri or something.

    Monterey Regional Airport (MRY):
Located approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) from Carmel Valley, Monterey Regional Airport is the closest airport to The Camp and is about a 30 minute drive from the venue.

    San Jose International Airport (SJC):
Situated about 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of Carmel Valley, San Jose International Airport is a larger airport with more flight options.

    San Francisco International Airport (SFO):
Located approximately 100 miles (160 kilometers) north of Carmel Valley, San Francisco International Airport is a major international airport with a wide range of flight options.

  • Whether you’re flying in and renting a car, or if you’re making the trip into a roadtrip from where you live, we’re here to help!

If you’re coming from North of Carmel Valley:

Start by taking US-101 South. Take exit 336B for CA-156 West towards Monterey Peninsula, and follow CA-156 for about 9 miles. Merge onto CA-1 South and continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach Carmel Valley Road. Take a left onto Carmel Valley Road, and The Camp will be on your left after approximately 7 miles

(If you want an extra scenic ride, head west until you hit Highway 1. Head south on 1 and see some of our favorite spots, including Santa Cruz, Swanton Berry Farm, Shark Fin Cove, and Devil’s Slide—which is where Kayla proposed to Shelby!)

If you’re coming from south of Carmel Valley:

To travel to The Camp at Carmel Valley, begin by taking US-101 North. Take exit 336B for CA-156 West towards Monterey Peninsula, and follow CA-156 for around 9 miles. Merge onto CA-1 South and continue for about 30 miles until you reach Carmel Valley Road. Take a left onto Carmel Valley Road, and The Camp will be on your left after approximately 7 miles

  • It’s the Monterey Airbus, an airport shuttle service that runs from SJC and SFO to Monterey. The drop off in Monterey is about a 30 minute drive/ride from the Camp where you can meet someone for carpooling, rent a car, call an Uber, OR call Kayla’s dad, Jim, who will be carpooling folks all Friday from the drop off location to The Camp!

  • We know rental cars and gas are expensive, and that not everyone feels comfortable driving.

If you’d like to find others attending the wedding who are looking for a ride, or offering one, use this Google Doc to connect!

More things for you to know

Knowledge is power.

  • We're camping out together! Instead of a hotel, stay with us for the weekend at The Camp at Carmel Valley. Enjoy a weekend full of fun for one all-inclusive cost! Every stay option (see below) at the camp includes accommodations, all meals during your stay, and all camp-run activities, including pool time, archery, crafts, and more.

Fully engage in your adult summer camp dreams. Arrive anytime after 3pm on Friday, March 8 and stay until after brunch on Sunday, March 10. For more details on pricing, please see “How do I pay for my stay at camp?”

  • The group cabins at The Camp at Carmel Valley are cozy, clean, and spacious. The three distinct campsites are accessed by trail and feature individually assigned or communal bathhouses. All the cabins sleep 3-4 people, and feature one queen bed, two twin beds, and bench seating. Bedding, towels, etc. are provided.

Your cabin will be assigned by the RSVP deadline Jan 1. We’ve booked this camp with lodging included, so you can pay one simple flat fee that covers everything for your stay—rather than the way things can add up at a hotel. Payments are explained in more detail in the question below this one.

If you have concerns about walking on the camp’s trails because of mobility issues, an injury or just personal preference, please let us know when you RSVP so we can make sure to book your cabin location accordingly.

We know it can be intimidating to bunk with people you don't know...but that's also where the fun starts! Lean into this experience with us, we promise you'll come away with at least a cool story for those awkward small talk moments in your Zoom meetings the following week...

You can see photos of the cabins here, if you want to start getting excited!

  • The costs detailed here cover lodging, food, and activities for your entire stay.

For those staying with us the whole weekend (Friday evening through Sunday morning), the cost is $175 per person for the entire stay.

If you’re only staying Saturday night, the cost is $110 per person.

For payment, you can Venmo Kayla (kn1992) or Shelby (Shelby-Perkins-3). If you’d prefer Zelle, text Shelby!

We ask that you please send your payment to Shelby or Kayla by the RSVP deadline on Jan 1. If you can’t get your payment by that date, please let us know and we can work something out!

  • Though it's our wish that we are all together on property for the weekend, we also want everyone to feel comfortable and at their best, so if that means a hotel, the nearest option (about a 10 minute drive from camp) are in Carmel Valley. If you want to go this route, we recommend booking sooner rather than later, as there are a limited number of options.

The Contenta Inn - Use the booking code NPWEDD for 10% off

  • Fashionably late? Don't worry, we'll save some tie dye for you. Arrive anytime after 10am on Saturday and stay through brunch on Sunday.

Refer to the question “How do I pay for my stay at camp?” for details on costs for late arrivals.

  • Our dress code is look hot. Are there rules to looking hot? NO! If you feel hot in a suit, wear a suit. If you want a dress with a big slit up the thigh, get! That! Dress! You want a matching two piece silk outfit? Me too baby!!! Wear it!

We want you to wear whatever makes you feel like a million bucks. Not casual, but as formal as you want to get in the woods.

Just keep in mind that the ground is dirt, so footwear with chunky heels or a boot works best. But do you. Make that stiletto work!

If you still need some inspiration, here is a list of things that are hot and not that Kayla and Shelby made after some drinks one night:

    Hot

    -Matching outfits
    -Color coordination
    -Skin
    -Patterns
    -Hats

    Not

    -Boring!
    -Uncomfortable!
    -Makes you not feel hot!

  • The Camp at Carmel Valley has a handy packing list on their website.

Here are the things we recommend you definitely bring:

    -Headlamp
    -Sweaters/blanket
-Another jacket or coat (layers, baby!)
    -Comfy shoes
